How we met Through friends at church

Was it love at first sight? Nope, but we became friends at first sight.

Who proposed and how? We discussed marriage driving to a friends place and decided to go for it, not very romantic really.

How and when did you know he/she was the one for you? There were no sudden epiphanies for either of us, we gradually worked it out as our friendship grew.

How much did your wedding cost? Approximately $1000.00

How many children/grandchildren do you have? None, but not by choice.

What is your favourite thing to do together? Heading off on yet another holiday adventure together.

What is the best thing about marriage? Friendship and having someone who is always there for you.

What is the best thing about your husband/wife? For him, her sense of humour, for her, him!

What is the hardest thing about marriage? Haven't found it yet (seriously).

What was the best piece of advice you have been given about marriage? Talk to each other!

How do you keep the 'spark' alive in your marriage? Make lots of time for fun and each other.

What are the keys to your successful marriage? Communication, love, communication, selflessness, communication, tolerance and last but not least, COMMUNICATION!!!

If you had one piece of advice to give couples soon to be married what would it be? Make sure the person you are marrying is really your best friend.
