How we met We met one night out on the town, discovered that we had lived a street away from each other all our lives so shared a taxi home together and have been together ever since.

The proposal Huw wanted to take our son on the merry-go-round in CIVIC, the operator said that we were too big to sit on the horses but could go on the elephants (Huw had set it up earlier as the elephants don't move up and down), as I was sitting there complaining that I had seen other people on the horses, Huw got down on one knee and popped the question. After that the operator gave us a free ride so I could go on the horse.

Summary of the big day Perfect! Not a thing went wrong. Was the most fun I have ever had

Fondest Memory Our first kiss as a married couple

Funniest Moment We didn't realise the grooms men didn't know how to dance, we'll leave it at that.

Money Saving Ideas We used vines from our garden to spice up candles (that we bought from the reject shop) for the centre pieces of our table instead of using flowers. For the ceremony books we got cheap paper and used a stamp to decorate the front. Instead of having a videographer we had 2 guests recording for us.

Bride's/Groom's advice Make sure you get a good sleep the night before!!

What we would do differently Nothing

Feedback

Ceremony Keeping the ceremony short, the church is very hot up the front so you may want to bring small fans in. Can't choose own music to walk to only what their pianist will play. Photos don't come out so great because of stained glass windows but we wouldn't have changed it.

Reception Venue Beautiful food, staff were fantastic, and there is also a hotel there so guest can stay and have breakfast in the morning.

Photography Locations We asked to photographer to choose locations and we were very happy.

Hair Wonderful, the bride and 5 bridesmaids were done in 2 hours - make sure you trial the style you want before the big day.

Transport The chauffeur was great, he made sure my dress was always sitting properly helped me in and out of the car, made me feel like a queen for the day, really happy.

Invites/Bomboniere Have some idea what you want as there are so many designs to choose from, Shantias was great as they could order anything you wanted.

Cake Magic! The shop had so many different ideas and tailored to exactly what we wanted, even included our 2 rabbits on the wedding cake. Highly recommended

Music Didn't play the songs we had asked for but the guests loved it

Photography Was great we didn't know what we wanted so left it up to Josh it took the stress out of it.

Honeymoon Would go back when we have the chance, heaps of things to do and plenty of space if you didn't feel like being around people. So relaxing
